Keep Safety First

Law enforcement agencies ensure safety first. This is a common goal throughout any law or fire agency. Law enforcement plays a significant role in our society so thinking about life and community without law enforcement is difficult to imagine. People in the communities largely depend on police officers, detectives, crime units and so many other branches of law enforcement agencies. Offices engaged in law enforcement perform their duties in various manners, depending on the size and type of their organization.

The duties of uniformed law enforcement mainly consist of maintaining order to security of the road, their “beat”, around specific crime areas, or even securing the safety of everyday life for citizens of the community.

It is said that there are one hundred ways of committing a crime but there are one hundred and one ways to catch that crime. Law enforcement agencies use various techniques to ensure that these crimes are stopped before they are even committed.

Science and technological advances make it difficult for crimes to be committed nowadays. There are cameras in nearly every area where the temptation to commit a crime, even the slightest one, can be recorded to ensure justice is served. If for some reason a crime is not caught on tape, it is still very hard to get away with it. DNA has changed the course of crime forever. With DNA, detectives are able to pinpoint the criminal swiftly, solving cases from very recently, to decades old.

While law enforcement agencies have great support, there are many who believe that the law enforcement agencies take liberties for their own personal gain. Still, though, one cannot deny the fact that law enforcement agencies are here to keep everyone in the community safe.

One of the most efficient ways to keep both law abiding citizens safe is the breathalyzer. Police officers, community officials, and citizens all agree that this is an efficient way to keep citizens safe on the roads. When driving, it is always important to be of sound mind. Driving erratically, or worse, drunk, can cause fatal accidents.

By pulling a drunk driver or even suspected drunk driver over, a police officer is already doing his job. The breathalyzer is a machine that the drunk driver breathes into. The machine uses his breath to measure the alcohol level. With this, the officer can determine the blood alcohol content. If it is of a certain level, the officer can follow protocol, ensuring the streets are safe.

It is important to remember that police officers and law enforcement agencies believe in safety first. They have had extensive training and undergone severe testing to ensure that the needs of the community and citizens are safe.
